Lancia Zeta is minivan produced from 1994 to 2002. The production was carried out in France. The rebadged versions of the model were Peugeot 806 and Fiat Ulysse. Besides, similar Citroen Evasion was offered in New Zealand, which was available in Great Britain and Ireland as Citroen Synergie.
History of the Lancia Zeta vehicles
The model was a result of the PSA Group and Fiat Group co-working. Within the framework of the Eurovan project, four similar minivans were created which were marketed under different brands (Peugeot, Citroen, Fiat and Lancia). All these cars rolled off the assembly line at the same plant called Sevel Nord. These vehicles differed from each other in the range of the equipment. The Zeta minivan had the longest list of equipment.
Distinctive features of this car were sliding rear doors and three rows of seats. The middle row could accommodate three passengers. Two separate seats in the rear row could be substituted with three seats, thus increasing their total number to eight.
The model Zeta is represented by one generation. Unlike other minivans made within the project, it was never updated. The vehicle was mostly sold in Europe. In 2002, it was replaced by the Phedra minivan.
Features of the Lancia Zeta vehicles
This minivan was presented at the Turin Motor Show. It differed from its twin models by its original radiator grille. The latter resembled a trapezoid in its shape and was divided with a vertical bar into two symmetrical sections. Chrome frame made the grille look elegant. The car gained narrow horizontal headlights, and rear lights in the shape of quadrangles with slightly rounded corners.
The capacity of the luggage compartment was 1,170 l, but with folded rear seats, it could be increased up to 2,600 l. Lancia Zeta vehicles had a disc brake system. The range of the available equipment included ABS, onboard computer, power windows. Side mirrors were heated and electrically adjustable. Besides, the vehicles were equipped with air conditioning as standard. Alcantara was used for the interior upholstery.
