History of the Dodge Challenger vehicles
The car is presented by three generations and five facelifted versions. The first generation appeared in 1970 was initially made with the coupe and convertible body styles. However, in 1972 the convertible was withdrawn from production. Leather seats and electric windows were available for the cars of the first generation. The sports version Challenger R/T was equipped with a 335 hp engine. The production of the first generation was discontinued in 1974.
The second generation entered the production four years later. It was made with the coupe body style. The cars were fitted with bucket seats and the range of standard equipment included tachometer, console with clocks, tinted windows, power steering, sound system with four speakers. The production of the second generation ceased in 1983.
Beginning in 2008, the third generation became available. While creating the new coupe, the manufacturer preserved the features of the 1970s model. In particular, the vehicles had round twin headlights, rectangular honeycomb radiator grille, horizontal rear lights unit.
The list of standard equipment also contained air conditioning system, electric windows, cruise control. Moreover, there was available a great number of useful options, for example, heated front seats, sound system. As standard, the Dodge Challenger coupe was fitted with 17-inch aluminium rims, however, 18-inch items could be ordered upon request. The manufacturer also offered ABS.
The facelifted version came onto the markets since early 2011. In June the same year, this coupe as most of the cars of the brand stopped officially being sold in Europe.

The radiator grille was decorated with a chrome frame. The sporty image of the car was emphasised by chrome exhaust pipes. The list of standard equipment included 18-inch aluminium rims.
The passenger compartment was characterised by ergonomics. The rear seats of the Challenger coupe were folded in the ratio of 60:40. For the comfort of the rear passengers there was an armrest.
