    Characteristics of SAE 0W-30 motor oils

    Products of this viscosity are suitable for all-season use, which is indicated by double indexes in their marking.

    0 means that this product will provide engine protection even at extremely low temperature. Due to low viscosity level, components of the power unit are well lubricated right after its start. The product is well pumped by the oil pump at -40 °C, and the crankshaft is easily rotating at -35 °C.

    30 means high temperature qualities of the product. For SAE 0W-30 oils they are the following: kinematic viscosity at 100 °C varies within 9.3 – 12.6 mm2/s, and dynamic viscosity at 150 °C and the shear rate of 106 s-1is 2.9 mPa∙s. Such products are energy saving.

    Note:

    1. It is only allowed to use products of viscosity recommended by the car manufacturer.
    2. Replacement should be performed at a service station.
