According to the standards accepted in 2001, BMW Longlife-01 motor oils should be used in petrol engines of the brand, produced after 2001, for example, M54 and N42. They also can be used in the cars of earlier generations as improved alternative to products with Longlife-98 specification.

BMW Longlife-01 motor oils significantly exceed requirements for the lubricants of ACEA A3/B3-04 category: they protect the engine from wear-out, sludge and deposits in the connecting rod-piston group, in average, twice more effective. They can have different viscosity: 0W-30, 5W-40, 0W-40, 5W-30. They are suitable for power units with extended service maintenance intervals.

Note:

1. It is only allowed to use the lubricants recommended by the car manufacturer.
2. Replacement should be performed at a service station.
