Characteristics of SAE 5W-30 motor oils

Lubricants of this viscosity have balanced characteristics and today are among the most-demanded ones. They are suitable for exploitation in severe cold, are efficient and eco-friendly.

SAE 5W-30 oils preserve sufficient viscosity for oil pump operation at −35 °С and engine start at −30 °С correspondingly. They harden at even more severe cold. In cold weather these products provide reliable start of even strongly worn engines due to low viscosity.

At heating, lubricants with 30 index have the kinematic viscosity of 9.3 – 12.6 mm2/s and the dynamic one, exceeding 2.9 mPa⋅s. They create the hard oil film on the surfaces of friction pairs in conditions of intense exploitation, for example, at driving in traffic jams or high-speed driving.

It is allowed to use only the products of the viscosity recommended by the car manufacturer.
Replacement should be performed at a service station.
