Characteristics of SAE 5W-20 motor oils

SAE 5W-20 oils are recommended for use in engines of various power, including high-efficient turbocharged engines of passenger and commercial vehicles. Due to low basic viscosity they are instantly supplied to hard-to-reach areas of the power unit, thus efficiently protecting it even in cold weather.

Products with 5W viscosity work perfectly at temperatures significantly below zero. In winter their using is allowable from −35 °С to −30 °С.

At high temperatures lubricants of 20 class reserve sufficient viscosity to create the substantial oil film. Their kinematic and dynamic viscosity reaches 5.6 – 9.3 mm2/s and 2.6 mPa⋅s correspondingly. These products promote fuel economy and engine power increasing due to their consistency.

Note:

1. It is allowed to use only the products of the viscosity recommended by the car manufacturer.
2. Replacement should be performed at a service station.
