    Detailed information on MB 229.3

    According to recommendations of Daimler AG concern as of 2017, MB 229.3 motor oils are suitable for petrol engines M 122, M 132, М 155, M 272, M 273, M 266, M 270, M 271, M 271 EVO, M 274, M 281 and M 200.71, as well as for diesel power units OM 640, OM 642, OM 646, and OM 611, OM 612, OM 647 and OM 651. They are produced with viscosity of 0W-30, 0W-40, 10W-40, 5W-30, 5W-40 and 5W-50. They meet basic requirements for АСЕА A3/B4-04 categories, and some products – those for C3-04 category.

    MB 229.3 motor oils are distinguished by lowered content of chlorine and sulphur in comparison with products having the specifications approved earlier. They are recommended for use in engines with service intervals extended to 30,000 km. They are not suitable for the cars with particulate filters of DPF type.

    Note:

    1. It is only allowed to use the lubricants recommended by the car manufacturer.
    2. Replacement should be performed at a service station.
