    MB 229.1 motor oils specification was approved by Daimler AG company in 1997. Basic requirements for lubricants for Mercedes-Benz engines produced from 1998 to 2002 were specified in it. These standards slightly differ from requirements for АСЕА А3/В3 categories.

    MB 229.1 motor oils can have different viscosity according to SAE: 10W-40, 15W-40, 5W-30, 5W-40, 10W-30, 20W-50, 5W-50, 10W-60, 15W-50 and 0W-40. They are made for high capacity diesel and petrol power units in cars without the particulate filter. They are suitable for extended change intervals. They greatly protect engines with a high mileage. They can be used in high loads conditions.

    Note:

    1. It is only allowed to use the lubricants recommended by the car manufacturer.
    2. Replacement should be performed at a service station.
