Causes of the inlet valve malfunctions

dirt or abrasive paste ingress into the valve sleeve;

Diagnostics
Evaluation of the inlet valve is conducted in 2 stages. At a special stand the test of all systems is performed with the help of computer diagnostics.
Next, you need to disassemble the system and remove the valve itself. It should have no obvious signs of soot or mechanical damage. It is important to correctly adjust the valve and its position in the seat.
When adjusting the valve, the engine must be cold. First you need to install the piston in the upper point of the stroke. Then loosen the lock nut and use the probe to adjust the gap. It must be of such a size that the probe goes into it with a visible effort.
It is important to remember that when adjusting one valve it is absolutely necessary to adjust the other valves. If you need to install a new valve, you must be sure to grind it to the seat.
Replacement of the inlet valves
Repair of valves does not make sense, because even with minimal damage it must be replaced.
To remove the inlet valve, it is necessary to first disconnect the timing belt and remove the camshaft cover. Be sure to mark the sequence of expansion joints and rocker arms. It is best to sign them with a marker.
Remember that the power torque of the camshaft cover bolts is small, only 10 Nm, so it is advisable to implement it with a torque wrench.
It is recommended to replace all the valves at once, so as not to provoke uneven wear.
