Visual state of nozzles expresses volumes. At the slightest traces of clogging you need to either clean the nozzles or replace them.

Washer nozzles lifetime depends on the quality of a washing liquid that you use. Under optimal conditions they can operate from 5 to 10 years. However, using water instead of a special liquid, particularly from a central water system, significantly shortens the service life. If you use water instead of washer fluid in the warm season, the nozzles service life will be no more than 2 years.

Clogged nozzles can be cleaned with a usual needle. However, this is only a temporary measure and the parts still need to be replaced. Furthermore, the fan-type nozzle cannot be cleaned in such a way.

You can remove the jet, prying it with a flat object. Gently push the clips and remove the item. Aplying force is not necessary, because you can break the nozzles mounting. After installing the new parts it is only necessary to correctly adjust the spray angle.
