The Seat Inca model was manufactured from 1995 until 2003. The assembly was carried out in Spain and Argentina. In 1997, the vehicle was awarded as “Comercial do Ano” in Portugal. VW Caddy is a twin model for this van.
The history of SEAT Inca
The car was unveiled at the Automobile Barcelona in 1995. There is only one generation, the 9K, available with van and panel van body-styles. They were based on the three-door hatchback Ibiza and were equipped with 1.4-1.9 l engines with the power of up to 90 hp. Since 1999, fuel-efficient power units with the direct diesel injection system were also available.
The features of SEAT Inca (the 9K)
The exterior of the vehicle was characteristic of the late 1990s: rectangular headlamps, U-shaped radiator grille with horizontal bars, black mouldings on body sides, massive bumpers. The glazing area was small. The cargo compartment of the van rose above the cab, and rear doors had two non-symmetrical leaves. This commercial vehicle was able to carry up to 2,900 l of cargo.
Their range of standard equipment was not very wide: it included a central locking system and air conditioner. A sound system and power windows were available as options. The cab had textile upholstery, and there were cup-holders and deep compartments for essentials.
