Diagnostics
First of all, check the amount of fluid in the system. In case of low fluid level, you need to add it. If the fluid has to be refilled frequently, you need to check the connections and the pump itself for leaks.
Next, check the pump condition and operability. The best option is to connect a known good spare part. Be sure to check the integrity of pump hoses and their connection points to the pump.
Repair and replacement of the auxiliary pump
If you suspect the air presence in the system, it requires pumping. In case of dirt in the system, a complete flushing of the pump is needed. However, there is a possibility of the pump failure even after flushing.
To replace the pump, you must first remove the accessory drive belt and loosen the clamp. Next push the clamp along the hose and disconnect the hose from the pipe. Be prepared to drain the fluid in a specially prepared container. Then unscrew the fitting bolt and remove the pressure hose.
For more convenience, it is recommended to remove fluid using a syringe from the pump itself and detach it.
