LDV is a British car brand which had been existing since 1993 to 2009. The manufacturing company was located in Birmingham. An American investment company Sun Capital Partners, Inc, bought the brand in 2005, and in 2006 it was bought by a Russian company GAZ. After the British company stopped working in 2009, its assets were sold to a Chinese company ECO Concept, and in 2010 – to SAIC Motor Corporation Limited. Since 2011 the company uses this brand for selling cars in some English-speaking countries.

Earlier the manufacturer assembled light commercial vehicles: minibuses and vans. In 2011 a new trademark owner presented V80 cars. They are produced in body versions of van and minibus as earlier. Moreover, pickups and SUVs are available now.

• Affordable price. The first brand models were rather inexpensive. Convoy van produced in 1997 – 2006 was the cheapest in its class on the domestic market.
• Capacity. Passenger vehicles have a spacious passenger compartment. Convoy minibus could carry up to 17 people at the time.
