JOHNS headlights are produced by Johns Autoteile GmbH & Co. KG. It owns one of the largest spare parts warehouses in Germany and supplies its products to the world market for more than 30 years. Types

Various types of bulbs are used in JOHNS headlights. Accordingly, the lamps can be divided into:

Halogen. They have the lowest price and are the most common. They provide even and rather bright light beam, do not get dim over time. They require special caution during installation and frequent replacement.
Xenon. They usually require installation of the ignitor, automatic levelling system and washer. They provide clear light-dark boundary and emit eye-pleasing light. They consume less electricity, than the halogen ones. Although they serve longer, their brightness decreases in course of time. Moreover, maintenance of such lamps is rather expensive, as if one lamp burns out, both bulbs should be replaced to provide even illumination.
LED. They are the most cost efficient ones, notable for attractive design, add individuality to vehicle exterior. They provide lighting, which is the closest to natural. Efficiency of the lights greatly depends on quantity of light-emitting diodes. These components differ by high price, are made in the format of a unit and replaced in assembly.

By a reflector type:

Reflector. Parabolic or non-parabolic complex shape reflectors can be installed in such lamps. Energy conversion efficiency of the first type is 27% only. The non-parabolic reflectors are divided into sections, each one has its own focal length, due to which the light units efficient coefficient is increased to 45%.
Projector. Their reflector has an ellipsoidal shape. It gets the light beam and diverts it to a lense, which focuses a powerful beam. Light efficiency of such lights type is 50%.
