Daihatsu Gran Move is a compact five-door people carrier. The car was produced in Japan from 1996 till 2002.
History of Daihatsu Gran Move cars
The manufacturer presented one generation, G303, and one restyled version of the model. The compact people carrier was built on the chassis of Daihatsu Charade hatchback. The cars were equipped with front-wheel drive and were provided with petrol engines of 90 hp / 91 hp output.
The cars were notable for utility, as they were rather spacious though compact in size. Thus, the length of Gran Move people carrier was 4050 mm, the width ‒ 1640 mm, the height ‒ 1600 mm. Restyling of Gran Move was carried out in 1999; the renewed car was branded as G301. This minivan differed from the predecessors by more modern exterior. Thus, configuration of the front and rear bumpers changed. Moldings appeared on them, as well as all along the car body. Lenses of the turn indicators, still built into the headlights, became transparent. Three chromed horizontal bars appeared on the radiator grille. The brand logo was mounted in the middle of one of them.
The steering control of Gran Move cars was equipped with the hydraulic assist. The car was fit with airbags for the driver and passenger, as well as with the collision sensor, which unlocked the doors and turned hazard warning lights on in case of a road accident. Standard equipment of extended package included the air-conditioner, central lock, front and rear power windows.
