Types of lubricants by the NLGI grade

• NLGI 1. The composition includes thickening agents based on lithium, lithium calcium and lithium complex, micro-gel, calcium and polyurethane. Dropping temperature - between 80 and 250 °C.
• NLGI 2. May contain both organic and inorganic thickeners. Temperature between 80 and 600 °C. May contain graphite.
• NLGI 3. Contains lithium and lithium-calcium thickeners. Temperature - 180 °C.

Functions of lubrication

The basis of almost any lubricant is mineral oil with thickeners often added. Its viscosity is determined by the number and the type of additives. It also contains additives that ensure protection.
