What are power mirrors?
The primary advantage of power mirrors is that their position can be adjusted without leaving the car. Their design involves at least two electric motors and a gear mechanism. The first electric motor is responsible for adjusting the item vertically, the second for its horizontal adjustment. An additional third motor can be used for automatic mirror folding. The presence of a motor actuator and electronic control system allows for many useful functions. For example, on some vehicles, the mirrors automatically tilt down and turn to reduce the blind spot when reversing. And after the manoeuver is completed, the mirrors, due to the position memory function, return to their initial position.
