What is a hot film MAF sensor?
The hot film MAF sensor is designed to determine the amount of air supplied to the engine. It directly affects the formation of the air-fuel mixture and, accordingly, the operation of the engine and other important systems. As the sensitive element, it uses a thin silicon crystal coated with thin layers of platinum. It is located in a special channel, and so is well protected from contamination. These products are characterised by high measurement accuracy, since they determine the mass of both direct and reverse air flows.
