What are metal glow plugs?
Metal glow plugs are the most commonly used nowadays. As the heating element, they use a corrosion- and heat-resistant rod with a metal heating coil inside. The rod is filled with magnesium oxide, which performs the insulating and heat-conducting functions. These parts warm up to operating temperature in an average of 2–7 seconds. They can warm up to 1,000°C. Post-heating is often provided for 3 minutes. These products ensure a quick engine start, even in the colder months. They contribute to efficient fuel combustion and reduce harmful emissions into the atmosphere. They are also cheaper than other types.
