FIAT BRAVA parts: find out more!
Fiat Brava cars were produced from 1995 till 2001, and then in 2007-2014 period. The cars of the first generation were manufactured in Italy and Poland, while the second – in Italy and Brazil. In 1996 the car received “Car of the Year” award established in 1964 by competent car magazines of various European countries. On the Australian market the model was known as Fiat Ritmo.
History of Fiat Bravo
During existence of the model, two generations and two restyled versions were released. Production of the first generation car, 3-door Brava hatchback, started in 1995 together with Fiat Brava – 5-door fastback. Both models were marked with 182 code. With these cars, the manufacturer replaced the outdated, though successful, Fiat Tipo model.
Restyling took place in 1998. Talking about exterior, it is worth noting that moldings started to be painted in body colour. As for technical equipment, engine range was updated. For instance, 1.2L 80 hp engine became available.
During last years of the first generation production, sales were dropping. Release of a new model – Fiat Stilo in 2001 was the result of it. Nevertheless, Fiat Bravo hatchback of the second generation (198) came to replace it in 2007.
Designers Alberto Dilillo, Emanuele Bomboi, and Frank Stephenson succeeded in creating the interior and exterior of a new car within just 1.5 years thanks to computer modelling. It was the first car with a new Fiat Automobiles logo presented in 2006. The car got big almond-shaped headlights, chromed radiator grille, rear lights with built-in turn indicators. Reflectors were now mounted not on the rear bumper, but near the license plate. Moreover, moldings were absent along the whole body perimeter, and the stop signal was located in the upper part of the luggage compartment door. As for interior, the car got leather trim of the steering wheel and the gearbox lever. The list of available engines was updated – some of them were replaced with more powerful ones.
Restyling took place in 2010, and in 2013 a special car, Wolverine, was released for the Brazilian market in collaboration with 20th Century Fox studios. This was performed as a part of “The Wolverine” movie promotion.
Production of these cars for the European market ended in 2014. However, later, a few modifications were manufactured for sales in Brazil, particularly, Essence and Sporting (2015-2016).
Features of restyled Fiat Brava second generation cars
The novelty was presented on Geneva Motor Show in 2010. This car was available in version of 5-door hatchback. The manufacturer used two new colours for body paintwork. Interior was also renewed. So, for Dynamic trim level of Fiat Bravo, light colours were used for interior design, thanks to which, the passenger compartment became more spacious visually.
As standard, the car was equipped with the trip computer, CD-player with 6 speakers. While comfortable conditions in the passenger compartment were created with the help of dual-zone climate control.
