The width of the wheel rim in inches determines the distance between the seats of the tyre beads along the rim. Note that this is NOT the distance from the external to the internal edge of the wheel rim.

Pitch circle diameter or (PCD).This parameter indicates the number of mounting holes and the diameter of the circle that passes through their centres.

Wheel offset (ET) determines the position of the wheel rim with respect to the wheel hub.

The smaller the offset, the more the wheel rim projects outside the car, and vice versa.
