The history of Kleber Company

The history of Kleber Company began in 1910 when a new firm engaged in manufacturing mechanical rubber goods was established in a French city, Colombes and was given the name of Société Française B.F. Goodrich. In 1945 the company headquarters moved from Colombes to Paris and settled down in a building in Kleber Avenue. In the same year the company set the production of auto tires and got a new name - Kléber-Colombes. One of its main achievements is the creation of the first ever tubeless auto tyre. Since 1995 Kleber has been a subsidiary enterprise of Michelin Corporation.

1. Summer tyres for car. Due to the optimal tread pattern and well-balanced composition of the rubber they provide reliable grip both with wet and dry road surface.
   • Dynaxer HP3. They are made for high speed driving of economy and middle class automobiles. They are notable for accuracy and speed of response to the driving mode change, wheel turning or accelerator pedal application. They have short braking distance.    • Transpro. It’s a product line made especially for commercial transport. They provide steady movement and high road holding ability. They have a long service life strengthened stiffness  zones which let you manoeuvre making a turn.

   • Krisalp HP2. The combination of straight and wave-shaped lamellas improves adherence with ice and snow. Due to the directional tread pattern the manufacturer managed to minimize the effect of hydroplaning.
   • Krisalp HP3. In comparison with the previous generation vehicle tyre Krisalp HP2 provides shorter braking distance: on the icy road surface it managed to reduce it up to 1 m and 2,2 m on the wet road.
3. All-season auto tires. They show excellent adherence with the road in all weathers.
   • Quadraxer. Sharply defined tread blocks and deep lamellas provide reliable adherence with the icy surface. V-shaped pattern with wide grooves between the tread blocks is responsible for discharging water away from the tire. The second generation of these tyres are notable for their improved technical characteristics. Manufacturers managed to reduce the braking distance up to 5% on the wet road surface and up to 9% on the dry one. The effect of hydroplaning is decreased up to 8% when driving along the straight road and up to 4% when making a turn.
   • Citilander. They have a reinforced frame and wide grooves for discharging water away. Cross grooves provide reliable adherence when driving on the sand or gravel.
