Types of soldering irons

- Gas soldering irons. The soldering tip is heated by an open flame. Have a built-in gas tank.
- Soldering irons using a liquid fuel. Powered by the heat produced by burning petrol or kerosene.
By the design of the body, these tools can be straight or pistol-grip. Besides, there are soldering stations with the tool connected to the control unit.
Soldering irons: tips on using
- Follow the manufacturer’s recommendations and observe the rules of fire safety. Do not switch on the tool near flammables, do not leave it unattended.
- Work in well-ventilated areas and wear a respirator if possible. Do not touch hot surfaces to avoid burns.
- Wait until the tool completely cools down before putting it away for storage.
