Types of seal pullers

• Multi-purpose. They are suitable for removing seals in many units. The working part consists of one or two hooks. They work as levers: they are inserted under the seal to pick it up, after which the component is easily removed.
• Specialized. They are intended for dismantling components located in certain systems of the vehicle. There are tools for removing the following seals:
  • Valve stem seals of the engine. These tools are similar to pliers. Their working surface is made in the form of plates with notches on the inner side. They are driven by pressing the handles.   • Steering rod hydraulic cylinder. The elements of the tip move to sides, grasp the seal, and clamp it during turning out.

Tips on using seal pullers

1. Follow the manufacturer's instructions and safety measures. In particular, when removing the seals from the engine, the engine should be stopped and the negative battery terminal should be disconnected.

3. After its operation, clean traces of the lubricant from the puller.
4. Keep the tool in a dry place.
