In 2008, standard equipment was added by the emergency brake assist system (EBA). R58 coupe was available since 2011, and production of R59 roadster started in 2012.

Almost all Mini cars made for the European market got a set of Efficient Dynamics energy-saving systems by BMW. The new cabriolet was equipped with Openometer device, which keeps track of how long the car is operated with the open top.

Features of Mini F55/F56/F57

Production of the third generation of the model started in 2014. The body styles range was added by 5-door 5-seater F55 hatchback. 3-door hatchback of the third generation was marked F56, and Mini cabriolet – F57.

Externally, the new cars differ from the predecessors, first of all, by the wider radiator grille. The large horizontal bar makes this part look more massive. The bumper grille, on the contrary, became narrower. Stylish trim elements appeared on front fenders. The headlights are equipped with the beam adjuster; optionally they can be equipped with LEDs.

The models of the new generation have various modern systems facilitating the car use. Driving Assistant system, with the help of the camera, recognizes road signs, obstacles on the road, and initiates braking if necessary. Navigation data, information concerning car driving speed, and other important data are shown on the brand’s Head-Up special multifunctional display.

The manufacturer also equipped the car with the parking assist, and multifunction steering wheel with smartphone control buttons. The rain sensor, and leather sport seats are offered as additional options.
