They are used, for instance, for mounting fenders, door panels, bonnet reinforcement panels, mouldings, spoilers. The product efficiently prevents appearance of corrosive traces along weld lines. The disadvantage of the adhesive is a long hardening: up to 2 days at room temperature.

Anaerobic products with various compositions are also widespread. They harden on the surface junctions at absence of oxygen in 15–30 minutes at the temperature of 15–35 °С. The exact time depends on the gap size and materials of the glued surfaces. The anaerobic adhesives are used for connection of non-removable constructions and elimination cracks of 0.05–0.6 mm size.

Composition

In accordance with the panel bonding adhesive type, its basis can include various materials. For example, the basis of anaerobic mixtures is urethane methacrylate; that of the epoxy – epoxy resin, methacrylate ester – in acrylic ones, polyurethane – in polyurethane adhesives. The adhesives also include hardeners and other additives.

The glue should be used strictly in accordance with the instruction. Thus, preliminary mixing as well as sequential application of the components may be necessary for two-component products.
