• Diode burnout. This is a result of voltage surges which happen, for example, when starting the engine with the headlights or parking lights on. This leads to the loss of the light intensity.
• Breaks in the electrical circuit. They might be caused by terminal oxidation, voltage surges in the onboard electrical system, too powerful lighting equipment installed. The symptoms are: blinking, flickering headlights or absence of light with the devices switched on.
• Mechanical damage. It can be discovered during examination. This may be the result of a strong impact, for example, due to a collision or careless parking, or be caused by stones flying out from under the wheels when the vehicle is moving.
