Production of five-door Nissan Note hatchbacks is performed since 2005 till present. At different periods cars were assembled in Japan, Great Britain, Mexico. In 2005 the car won “Good Design Award” from Japan Institute of Design Promotion. History of Nissan Note cars
Two generations and one restyled model were presented. Debut of the first generation car, E11, happened on Paris Motor Show in 2004. In 2005 car sales started in Japan, and a year later the car appeared on the European market. The car instantly became popular: in 2005 it was the second-best selling car of the company.
The car was characterized not only by the spacious cabin, but also by the capacious luggage compartment. Its volume could be increased to 1332 litres due to folding rear seats. The basic trim level of Note comprised ABS, airbags for the driver and passenger including side airbags, and also central locking and immobilizer. Since 2006 model’s standard equipment includes an intelligent air conditioning system.
Debut of the restyled first generation model took place on Paris Motor Show in 2009. The front car bumper became more protruding and was now coloured in body colour, the radiator grille was made in minimalistic style, and headlights got smoother outlines. The cars started to be equipped with automatic headlight washer.
Features of Nissan Note E12 cars
Cars of E12 generation are produced since 2012. The model began looking more stylish especially due to sharp corners of complex-shaped headlights, increased windshield inclination and chromed frame of the radiator grille. Fog lights frames of Nissan Note cars were also decorated with chromed planks. The rear lights received complicated multi-angle form.
The luggage compartment of the car could be increased to 1700 mm in length due to Karakuri cabin transformation system. This technology allows to easily and quickly fold the rear seats.
Six airbags are installed in the basic configuration of Note hatchback. The system of tyre pressure control, lane keeping assist system and “blind spots” monitoring assist are available optionally. The richest trim level includes a rear view camera and 360° Around View Monitor system. Also, the NissanConnect multimedia system with 5.8-inch touch screen is offered.
