Installation of the rear view camera

Vision in reverse video
When using the rear view camera, make sure to connect your product to a +12/24V rear light. In this case, the product will be activated automatically when the car is reversed.

Vision in rear view
In case of use in surveillance, make sure to connect your product to a +12/24V after contact. In this case, the product will be activated as soon as the vehicle is switched on.
Night vision
The camera of the BEEPER RWEC79X kit is equipped with 18 infrared LEDs at the rear, has the particularity of detecting the level of luminosity, thus allowing to offer the best possible night vision.

Please note that the operation of LEDs is not perceptible to the naked eye.

These LEDs are a real asset for night vision, however they can sometimes distort the real colors of surrounding objects or obstacles (eg: pink vegetation). However this constraint remains negligible compared to the global performances of the product.

Distance display templates

Distance display template lines appear on the screen. These lines allow to evaluate the distances between the vehicle and the obstacle. These template lines can be deactivated during the installation of the product if you wish.

WARNING - VEHICLES THAT DO NOT ALLOW A CONSUMER TO BE CONNECTED TO THE BACK-UP LIGHT HARNESS
On some vehicles, the +12 V Backup Light is interfered with when the engine is running, which may interfere with the proper operation of the Backup Camera Kit. In other cases, this +12 V Backup Light does not allow any additional power consumption.
For all these vehicles, Beeper has developed the RCANR2 module to retrieve the +12V Backup Light information from the CANBUS network. This module connects to the CANBUS of the compatible vehicle and delivers a +12V Backup Light for the connection of a backup camera.
