Car parts for VAUXHALL

Vauxhall is a famous brand under which, in Great Britain, cars of different classes are made as well as commercial vehicles. The history of the brand dates back to early 1857 when Alexander Wilson established a pump and marine engine manufacturing company. In 1903, the company started producing cars. Since 1980 most of the Vauxhall vehicles are identical to the Opel models. At present, the English brand belongs to the French Groupe PSA.

The Vauxhall vehicles

At present, the Vivaro vans and the Astra and Astra Sports Tourer cars, as well as Vauxhall car parts, are manufactured at two company plants located in Luton and Ellesmere Port. Other models are produced outside Great Britain. In 2012, the plant in Ellesmere Port was threatened with closure. However, given the fact that the plant produced 47 cars per hour, while other manufactures made only 30, General Motors that owned Vauxhall at that time decided not to shut the plant down, but to increase production capacity of the company in Ellesmere Port.

Today, the model range of the brand includes three- and five-door hatchbacks, five-door estate cars, liftbacks, SUVs and crossovers, coupes, convertibles, vans and minivans.

Advantages of the Vauxhall vehicles

  • High level of safety. Most cars of the brand are equipped with the Full Size system consisting of front and side airbags as well as side curtain airbags. They provide secure safety of the driver and passengers in case of frontal and lateral collisions. If there is no passenger seating in front or there is a child safety seat installed there, front and side airbags are automatically switched off. The safety of these cars was highly rated by international specialists: for example, as a result of the Euro NCAP test in 2017, Grandland X and Insignia models gained a five-star rating.
  • Attractive design. Stylishly shaped body panels, extended wheel arches, visually lifted rear part made the appearance of the cars from the brand stylish and recognisable. A vivid example of an ideal exterior is the model Insignia which was honoured with a great number of awards including the “Red Dot Design Award” as well as the first prize for its design in the competition Autobest 2009.
  • Innovative technologies. Cornering brake control system (CBC) prevents the car from skidding while cornering. The Continuous Damping Control (CDC) system adjusts the shock absorber stiffness automatically depending on the road surface, thus, providing the driver and passengers with excellent steering and a high level of comfort. The DDS indicator gives a warning when the tyre pressure is low.
