The company was founded in 1916 by mechanic and entrepreneur August F. Meyer in the city of Monroe, Michigan, the USA. Together with his partner, Charles S. McIntyre, he developed the first Monroe shock absorber – a hydraulic single action device, a working principle still used for modern car parts. Nowadays the company produces different types of these components in the medium and premium price segments. Types

Original. Durable twin- or mono-tube oil and gas charged products. These components allow to compensate for wear of other elements of the suspension and restore its damping properties.
Reflex. Due to the system of piston valving called Twin Disc Technology, these twin-tube gas-charged components react quickly even to insignificant suspension oscillations. Moreover, they improve the car’s road-holding ability and minimize body vibrations.
OEspectrum. Gas charged twin-tube parts made utilizing the unique technology M-RTECH 2 Rebound Valving. They have an Impact Control Valve due to which they promote optimal driving comfort and manoeuvrability, help to shorten the brake path.
Van Magnum. Reliable twin-tube oil components which were developed especially for commercial vehicles with a gross weight below 3 tonnes.
Adventure. Mono- or twin-tube gas charged shock absorbers designed for off-roaders. These spare parts work effectively at high loads. A peculiar feature of these components is that they don’t need priming before installation.
