Detailed information on VW 505 00
VW 505 00 motor oils are made for diesel power units with or without a turbocharger. They are used in many cars of Volkswagen Group concern: Audi, Škoda, Volkswagen and Seat. They are available in the wide viscosity range: 5W-50, 10W-50, 10W-60, 15W-40, 15W-50, 20W-40, 20W-50 with the maximum vaporability of no more than 13%, and 5W-30, 5W-40, 10W-30 and 10W-40 with the consumption through burning no higher than 15%. Performance characteristics of these products comply with ACEA B3 category standards.
VW 505 00 motor oils are not compatible with particulate filters. They retain high viscosity – no less than 3.5 mPa⋅s – at heating to 150 ℃ and shear rate of 106 s-1. They securely protect the engine from soiling and wear-out during 15,000 km.
Note:
- It is only allowed to use the lubricants recommended by the car manufacturer.
- Replacement should be performed at a service station.
