    Detailed information on Porsche A40

    Specification for Porsche A40 motor oils was approved in 2009. It determines characteristics of lubricants recommended for use in the cars of the German brand, produced after 1994. It is based on ACEA requirements for A3 category, but exceeds them by some parameters.

    Porsche A40 motor oils can have viscosity of 5W-40 and 0W-40. They are made for petrol engines installed on the following models: 911, Boxster, Cayman, Cayenne and Panamera.

    High-temperature viscosity of the lubricants with this specification should not be lower than 3.5 mPa⋅s. Their vaporability doesn’t exceed 12%. Due to this, maximum level of engine protection is provided even in conditions of extreme loads.

    Note:

    1. It is only allowed to use the lubricants recommended by the car manufacturer.
    2. Replacement should be performed at a service station.
