Hyundai Tucson are popular crossovers produced since 2004 till present. Assembling of these cars is performed in South Korea, the Czech Republic, Algeria, Brazil, India. In 2005 the car got “Best New Crossover” title in “Canadian Car of the Year” contest. Automobile Journalists Association of Canada selects winners of this contest. And “Consumer Reports” American magazine proclaimed this car one of the most reliable vehicles in 2009. After release of the second generation, the model was available as Hyundai ix35 on the most markets, except South Korea and North American countries.

History of Hyundai Tucson cars

The model is represented by three generations and four restyled versions. The first generation debuted on Geneva Motor Show in 2004. Hyundai Tucson crossover was standardly equipped with air conditioner, CD player, cruise control, six airbags, system of electronic stability control. Extended trim levels included, for example, climate control system and heated seats. The seats were easy folding, which allowed to provide additional space for luggage if necessary. And long objects could be transported after folding the front passenger seat.

Production of the second generation started in 2009. The car practically had nothing in common with the predecessor. A new design concept - “Fluidic Sculpture” - was visible in model appearance. Its particular feature was elimination of sharp edges in favour of smooth lines visually flowing from one into another. Downhill Brake Control system, used in Tucson, provided descent from stiff slopes at safe speed without using the brakes. While Hillstart Assist Control eased start on the ascent. Also the car was equipped with emergency brake warning system – Emergency Stop Signal.

Features of III generation Hyundai Tucson cars

The novelty debuted on Geneva Motor Show in 2015. Models of the third generation differed from the predecessors by more extraordinary sportive appearance. It was promoted by the massive radiator grille with impressive chromed bars. The narrow headlights added aggressiveness to the car. LEDs appeared on the front bumper – daytime running lights. Moreover, the round fog lights gave place to the triangular ones.

As standard, Hyundai Tucson cars are provided with trip computer, power steering, parking sensors, air conditioner, power windows. Additional comfort during driving is provided by blind spots monitoring system, lane departure warning system, multimedia system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto support, and hands-free function.
